Upcoming Event: Saddle Fitting in Alberta

I will be in Alberta from October 21-27. I’ll be traveling from the Red Deer area down to Calgary and surrounding areas. I’ll be at GEM Equestrian Centre for the weekend of October 25-27. GEM has kindly allowed haul-ins, but they need to be planned in advance.

If you need saddle servicing, fittings, or are shopping for a new saddle, this is the perfect opportunity! I carry custom dressage and jumper saddles, along with a wide range of consignment inventory.

1. Sales and Consignment

When you work with True North, you're not just getting high-quality tack and saddles—you’re getting the expertise of an experienced saddle fitter. One of the brands I carry on these trips is Lemieux, a UK brand known for its premium quality and stylish designs. 

Lemieux products allow you to match your entire horse-riding kit—think matching pink sets for you and your horse! Alongside these stylish options, I stock English saddle pads, bridles, girths, horse boots, and much more.

In addition to English tack, I also provide Western consignments. If your Western saddle isn’t fitting quite right, I’ll take it on consignment and work to find a better fit for both you and your horse. 

By consigning with me, you benefit from my wide network, as I’m always traveling to meet new riders. My commission is only 25%, making it a practical option for many riders.

2. Saddle Fitting

One of the key parts of my trips is providing expert saddle fitting services. As a saddle fitter with expert training, I specialize in adjusting Custom Saddlery saddles. 

These saddles are highly adjustable and allow both horse and rider to perform at their best. During a fitting session, I can make tree adjustments to Custom saddles and work on wool flocking for any saddle to ensure the perfect fit.

While I mostly work on English saddles, especially those with wool flocking, I also assess Western saddles to check for proper fit, even though they tend to be less adjustable than their English saddle counterparts. 

Whether your saddle needs a small tweak or a significant adjustment, I’m here to help both you and your horse achieve maximum comfort and performance.
