Vector Control Stirrup Black

Vector Stirrups are a next-generation design that combines advanced technology with lightweight construction, all while maintaining the classic style expected from LeMieux.

Machined from aviation-grade aluminium, these stirrups offer an impressive strength-to-weight ratio, weighing only 419g each — lighter than most stirrups on the market — without sacrificing stability or durability.

The ergonomic control footplate is set at a 0° angle, featuring a cross-track grip surface embedded with hardened steel pins for optimal security and confidence in every step. Supported by a twin-balance arch system, weight is evenly distributed across the base of the stirrup frame, promoting comfort and stability. The recessed, off-set design at the apex of the frame encourages a 45° outward orientation, making it easier for riders to find the ideal ankle angle and quickly regain their stirrup if lost.

An integrated hinged arm with a two-stage release system ensures safety and prevents accidental opening. When under maximum pressure — such as landing over a fence — the spring-loaded arm locks into place, evenly distributing the rider’s weight and preventing the outside of the stirrup from dropping or flexing. In the event of excessive force, the arm releases, allowing the rider’s foot to exit swiftly, reducing the risk of dragging. Testing shows a breakout force of 36N (equivalent to 3.62kg), providing resistance against unintended release while enabling safe release when needed.

Note: No stirrup with a quick-release arm can guarantee opening in every fall scenario. Factors like horse falls, saddle slippage, or unusual angles may reduce effectiveness. While these stirrups enhance safety, they are not 100% foolproof in every event.
